Get basic services at neighborhood centers

Neighborhood centers’ free services improve low- and moderate-income families’ quality of life by providing basic services including access to food pantries, bus passes and notary services.

  1. Call to make an appointment with a neighborhood center that is convenient for you. Be aware that neighborhood centers are closed from noon to 1 pm for a lunch break.

  2. On the day of your appointment, bring these items with you:

    • Photo ID
    • Proof of address, such as a government ID, utility bill, or mail with your address on it
    • Proof of income for all adults (18+) in the household for the last 30 days
    • Social Security numbers for everyone in the household, if available

  • Health screenings (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol)
  • Help obtaining health insurance
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Flu shots (in the Fall)

  • Help with rent and utilities
  • Child safety seats
  • Fans (in the Summer)
  • Blue Santa applications (in the Fall)
  • Help with income tax forms (in the Spring)
